Our criteria is transparently placed on every business profile. We place high importance on quality local ingredients and menu items. The businesses we feature all are making a commitment to supporting and sourcing from sustainable agriculture. Our businesses are categorized on 3 levels. The first level is Farm, Creamery, Producer. These business categories are responsible for creating the local foods that are sourced at the other businesses. Often, they won’t have a location for you to visit, but Maize shows you where you can find their products within our Shop, Eat, and Drink categories (Level 2).

The distance shown next to the businesses is based on your current location. You can still search any radius between 0-200mi, in any U.S. city.

We put no barriers in front of you and deleting your account. We make it very easy, right within the app in your profile settings. Please note that deleting your account will also delete the data associated with it, i.e. Saved Places, Maize Table Posts, Profile Stats, Position on Top Patrons leaderboards, etc.
